I've been missing the excitement that comes with the beginning of new things and how things used to be.

Human Confrontation

Posted on Mar 4th, 2008 by Alyssa : Explorer of Unknown Alyssa
As luck would have it, I have a job that requires lots of my time, lots of patience, and a lot of involvement with complete and absolute strangers. I have to stay overtime almost every day and dread when I leave my house to go in. I hate human confrontation. I don't mind that almost everyone I deal with are people that know absolutely nothing about me but I hate when they come up to complain or, for that matter, come up to give my company business even. And God forbid I see them in public. I feel I can't go anywhere in my town without seeing a customer. I'm a homebody of a person.

Lately I feel like the only thing people can talk about nowadays is themselves. Like there are no other good topics to talk about anymore, the only thing left is the speaker. For example, note the whole paragraph above. Are there no deep conversations anymore? Are we, as a general population, becoming less interested in the world around us and what is going on in our society and more interested in ourselves?

I feel like I'm living in a never ending game of "Where's Waldo?"
